The National Museum of History of Moldova is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition "The History of Romania in 100 Portraits," organized by Art Safari, the largest exhibition organizer in Eastern Europe. This prestigious exhibition will be open to the public on August 20, at 4:00 PM, and is funded by the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova within the Government of Romania.
The exhibition features over 100 artworks and artifacts of invaluable worth, sourced from esteemed public and private collections. It offers an immersive exploration of Romanian history and culture, showcasing crucial moments and prominent figures, from great rulers such as Stephen the Great and Michael the Brave to literary giants like Mihai Eminescu, Ion Creangă, and Tudor Arghezi.
The exhibition includes sections dedicated to the Romanian royal family, presenting objects and portraits of its members, as well as remarkable contributions by Romanian athletes at an international level. Notable exhibits include a portrait of Stephen the Great from the collection of the National Museum Complex Neamț, a portrait of Tudor Vladimirescu by Theodor Aman, and personal items of Queen Maria and King Ferdinand.
