Scientific Conference "History - Archaeology - Museology", 34th Edition

Between October 24-25, 2024, the annual scientific conference with international participation was held at the National History Museum of Moldova: History - Archeology - Museology, XXXIV Edition, in mixed format (with physical and online presence).
Archaeologists, historians, museographers, ethnologists, linguists and political scientists from eight countries (Republic of Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Germany and Sweden) participated in the scientific conference. 147 researchers with 123 communications signed up for participation in the Scientific Conference Program. During the course of the scientific event, 96 communications (or 76%) were presented, of which 76 (or 79%) - were made with the physical presence of researchers, and 20 (or 21%) - through online technical means. In this context, the researchers presented the results of the latest scientific investigations, at the same time being identified new directions in research and establishing collaborations with prominent institutions in the country and abroad.The new volume of the NMHM magazine - Tyragetia (XVIII, 2, 2024) was launched during the plenary session of the conference. The scientific conference was organized within the national subprogram: "Museum historical-archaeological heritage: systematization and scientific-cultural valorization (Code: 180101)" carried out by the National History Museum of Moldova and financed by the Ministry of Education and Research. Representatives from various academic institutions, universities, national museums (46%) and from abroad (44%) participated in the proceedings of the scientific conference. The communications presented were notable for their thematic diversity, new methodological approaches, interdisciplinary studies, new archival materials, archaeological, numismatic and ethnological research, which were accompanied by illustrative presentations, graphics, photos, videos, etc. The most representative materials presented during the scientific conference will be published in the magazine of the National History Museum of Moldova - Tyragetia.
